  1. Hi
Has anyone had any ideas/success with juicing tomatoes? (I end up with a
    thick flavourless pulp)
    Thanks

What do the tomatoes taste like before you juice them?
Chances are, if they are flavourless before juicing they will be flavourless
    after juicing.

You could always add a bit of salt, pepper and tabasco sauce, then throw in
    a few shots of vodka.......
    mmmmmmmmm...... need a drink.....

There is also this Japanese girl I know who mixes tomato juice with beer,
you could try that if you want......

  4. Hi
Thanks - I juiced them with carrots, added a bit of salt and the flavour
rushed out - tasted just as good as the commercial stuff.
Of course it was much better nutrition wise...

    Carrots,
    Sounds nice,
Carrots and vodka in tomato juice.....
Won't be getting any work done tonight.

  6. The reason carrots probably worked is because of their sugar content.
Grandmas have been adding a pinch of sugar to so-so tomato sauces, etc.
for years. Without sweetness naturally, tomatoes can be very bland.

  7. Voda - now there's an idea - Homemade of course 🙂

  8. Well the only thing different from the 2 batches was the carrot and salt.
Carrots are high in carbs and are pretty sweet.
