is not sand but an essential mineral. People need mineral supplements
in the right format.

If the WHO says that silica is good for chronic disease, why are you
so backward with your mentality on an essential nutrient?
hmmm...no where in these 30+ year old diatribes do I see the words "necessary
for health" , nor that it is "good for chronic disease"
actually I read that they were documenting that it was "not dangerous" in
various animal models....this is different that documenting its efficacy..
in fact..since the majority of the "studies" were on rabbits..mice,,dogs and
other animals..the results cannot be extrapolated to man
also...if the "essential mineral" is excreted in the urine..it can't be too
essential..or it would have been absorbed...in essence,,this "cite" states that
silica is NOT dangerous because it is excreted in the urine..
well duh...so is an excess of any water soluble vitamin or mineral...
those who consume large quantities of Vit C WILL excrete in urine what the
body doesn't need...and it doesn't need huge quantities...a few fruits a day
can usually supply what we need (scurvy became a problem when sailors were at
sea for many months...without fresh fruit...unless you spend many months at
sea....just visit your local grocery store and buy some fruit....far better
than any supplement,,which we know is unregulated...
