Try as you might, but this won't work with an electron-microscope. No way.
And, indeed, the microscope depicted on the site you cite is an ordinary
binocular.... I also have -great- doubts about their 5,000x magnification
claim, as there is a definite limit to the maximum magnification that can be
obtained using light (~1,000x using oil-immersion).

It lies. No optical microscope can magnify beyond about 1200x. Electron
microscopy can attain much higher resolution, but cannot image living
material. Of course, magnifying "up to 5000 times" is not necessary to
examine red blood cells; 500x is plenty. And there is nothing particularly
spectacular about a fresh blood smear. Red blood cells are rather boring in
appearance, and tell us little about the state of health of blood unless
they are unusual shapes (sickle cell anemia). White cells are more
interesting, and require even less magnification. The ratios of different
kinds of white cells provides information about the current state of the
immune system and can indicate the presence of infection and even suggest
whether the infection is bacterial for viral.

First of all, the microscope that is shown on the site that you got this
from is an ordinary light microscope. That's not going to give you 5000
times magnification. Secondly, you stated that "A Blood Microscopy

needed to obtain such magnifications.

microscope and manages to take pictures of blood cells moving about, so
they must be animation experts. : )

Why? That doesn't contradict what I wrote.

There was a thread where the limits of optical microscopy were discussed,
and the magnification was, IIRC, around 1500X.

It is based on physics, not opinion.
