  1. Hey, this group will survive all these petty little arguments. We've
been through them all, and there's nothing new under the sun. Relax. :-)

So what? Im not looking to destroy the safety of this group, the
purpose of this group.... and I dont think you are, either.

  2. Without the arguments, this group would be boring as hell. We just talk
about all the same stuff over and over: "It's week three and I'm
stalled!" "I just started and I'm dizzy, is this normal?" "Here's my
recipe for blah blah that's just like all the other recipes for blah
blah except I changed one ingredient." "What does 'net carbs' mean?"
"Why is JC such a jerk?" Gets old.

Y'know, that is a good point, and I see it on other lists too!

Speaking of recipes, anyone else ever tried mixing cream cheese with
    sugar free jello?

    Don't. They don't mix worth a flip!
It was tasty but not smooth at all.

I need to get more nitrous charges for my cream whipper....

    Cheers!

That is one of our staple desserts. Except I also add some cream.

I've done just straight whipped cream and it worked well...

How did you manage to keep the cream cheese from chunking up?

I let it get to room temperature and whip in in the food processor; it whips
well and gets fluffy and smooth; I did the same thing when I made cream
    cheese pancakes yesterday 🙂.

Ah, so you whipped it first before adding it?

I got it soft in the m-wave but when I added it to the ice cold jello,
    it chunked back up again.

I'll have to try whipping it soft first, thanks!

You need to soften the cream cheese first. Run it through a processor or
mix it with an electric mixer. After the cheese is whipped,
incorporating other stuff is actually pretty easy.

Or sugar-free pudding. Both of these things make good frosting for LC
    baked goods.

I did soften it, but I did not whip it.
I added the warm, softened cream cheese to ice cold jello. ;-)
That was the mistake I made, thanks!

Can you use whipped cream cheese instead? The kind that comes in a tub?
Would you still need to use a mixer on it first?

Probably, and I'd still use the food processor on it because I make if
fluffy, not just soft - but I never have because I buy the 3# blocks of
    cream cheese.

Let me make sure I've got this right. You're mixing the sf pudding mix
(dry and unprepared?) with the cream cheese? Or, you're making the pudding
first and then mixing it w/ the cream cheese?

I'm not sure I can afford the calories right now, but one of the vendors
at the local farmers' markets makes a religious experience quality of
mascarpone and I think that might make a really nice substitute for the
    cc.

    Thanks,
    Martha

I've made cheesecake-like deserts by mixing whipped, softened cream
cheese with un-set jello. It's quite good, and the texture is fine.

    Cool idea!
I've not tried using unset Jello.

I'm going to have to put more effort into this idea. <lol>

The problem with that stuff is it tends to have more fillers.
