He's really had a remarkable run of luck during his string, and I sure
as hell hope it continues. I'd hate to see a bad luck crash take him
out. I do hope that if Lance goes down and it's not serious people wait
for him to get back on.

Yes, but current adrenaline theory research only covers the timespan
immediately after the adrenalizing event, not several days after.
Volunteers are required to further research into any long term effects,
either positive or negative. People with broken collar bones and ribs
however need not apply.

The NY Times reports that Armstrong was injected the wasp poison, not
in the nose but in the eyelid. An assistant help him with it.

By Ferrari's testing, Armstrong last year could "only" produce a sustained
30 min. output of something like 490 watts; not his usual 30 min. at 500
watts (I loaned the book to a friend and can't check the exact number).
This was why he decided not to attack on the first mountain stage last year.
If the accident costs him 10% of his power output, it could be a serious
disadvantage to lose 40 or 50 watts. But he does have sufficient recovery
time before the climbing begins.
