Sorry, I misunderstood the initial question, so I apologise for that. A
hopping spin can't be a contradiction in terms, since a hop combined
with a spin (a spin where the uni's tyre does not touch the floor) do
not contradict each other. A standard spin (IMHO) is where the tyre
remains in contact with the floor, and is initiated & sustained in a
totally different (pedalling rather than weight transfer) way. A
unispin, on the other hand, is where the uni rotates (usually in the
same way as a hopping spin), but the rider does not.
All these different spins! But I agree with John, a 'Hopping Spin' is
not a 'Spin', in the same way a 'Unispin' is not a 'Spin' either.
