Okay, so they aren't really ribs. "Country ribs" (bork butt with some bones). Marinated in the following pureed concoction:
1 can mandarin oranges (with juice) 1/2 c. teriyaki sauce couple of splashes of oil 1/4 c. crystallized ginger 1 medium onion, quartered 2 cloves garlic 1/2 tsp. pepper
Puree the ingredients and marinate the meat at least one hour or overnight. Fire up the grill and I think you can figure out the rest 🙂

Bork... Hmm, that must have been what I had once at a restaurant that was sold as a "boneless rib" sandwich. I believe it was the meat equivalent of particle board, i.e., fabricated from pieces (meat?) in a mystery matrix.

Yum, thanks for the recipe. I love BBQ season!
When is it *not* BBQ season? In *my* world, BBQ season is May through August plus any month with an "r" in it.
BOB
Or any day that ends with a "y"! Magnolia Blossoms and seasonal malaria are mere incidentals.

True, but the recipes really come out in the warmer seasons.
Before I started reading rec.food.cooking we used to boil the ribs to cook them the whole way through, THEN throw them on the grill and paint them with a bottle of BBQ sauce. The horror!
