I heard that women shouldn't be worried about becoming too bulky if
they lift too heavy of weights. I know for myself I build muscle very
quickly. Just doing ten pounds and my bicepts get huge. This is why I
don't work out everyday. I was wondering if this was a myth or if it
was fact? Would like to hear from you🙂

RaynelleYou either have to be a troll or english is your second language.
The term "doing" is a common expression for having sex with someone (or
something).Apparently, you have been humping a ten pound plate (or dumbell).
And got huge biceps as a result.
If you can show men how to do this, you will make millions.

Raynelle,
If you just LOOK AT ice cream, you gain 5lbs, right?
How big are your knockers? Those can weigh like 40 lbs each if they are
bigguns. A pic would be best.

Standard plates OK, but Olympic plates would be a challenge. -

RaynelleGenerally speaking, building large muscle mass is not easy to do. It
requires a combination of good training and adequate feeding. If you're
starting out, you will get some quick newbie gains but that will taper
off. Unless you're eating to bulk up, I wouldn't worry. -

Don't touch them. Don't even look at them. The second you even walk by a
dumbbell or barbell you're going to sprout facial hair and your voice will
drop. Be Warned! -

RaynelleI've heard conflicting stories on this. I've also heard that women
with PCOS (of which I am one) can get bulkier muscles when lifting
because of the extra testosterone we have in our bodies through no
fault of our own. This might be a good myth to submit in to the Mythbusters for a future
show. :-) BRB.I like that show.

turn, gives rise to obesity. That's what you're experiencing now. If
you actually start training with weights, you may find that the ease
of gaining muscle isn't as mythical as you think. And that's not a
bad thing. But first you need to manage your dietary intake and start training
with heavy weights; otherwise, how will you ever know?--

RaynelleI commend you for wanting to know whether strength training for women,
and for you in particular, produces bulkiness.Do you think that women who look - and who are - strong are
unattractive?I suggest that you Google this topic.
For example:http://www.stumptuous.com/weights.html
Strength Training for Women: Debunking Myths That Block Opportunity
William P. Ebben, MS, MSSW, CSCS; Randall L. Jensen, PhDAw hell, read lots of stuff at her site
I also suggest that you look consider the _hypotheses_ regarding
sarcoplasmic hypertrophy vs myofibrillar hypertrophy. Supposedly,
sarcoplasmic hypertrophy is the "pump" you get by doing lots of high
repetition work with light weights. It is described as a worthless
increase in the volume of the muscle cell fluid. It is bloated, soft,
and useless muscle that deflates after a day's layoff from "training."
You want denser and stronger muscle growth; that is, myofibrillar
hypertrophy. -

didn't know what it was until 1997 when I got diagnosed.Quoted message said:

food and keep my calories around 1500 a day. As for training my Y
membership starts June 1.
