Why not? It's been done throughout history. Besides, even if you buy
that the contents of the bible are delivered from God, Catholic doctrine
is a long ways away from that content by a lot of twisty little
passages. Or was that little twisty passages? Anyhoo, the church made
it up and rationalized, they can and have changed it to suit their needs
and even occasionally the needs of the congregation.

name, not one that 15 other people had. My first choice would have
