I had an ex-priest tell me that half of all priests are [censored] and the
other half are alcoholics. He happened to be both.

It seems to me to be the right profession for a homosexual given the
strict rules on celibacy, but only if they remain celibate.

Given the scandals concerning the priesthood and crimes against
children, then it would appear that the profession has been a refuge
for many perverted people that should be locked up.

With the knowledge that many professed Christians don't believe in God
or Jesus, it is little wonder that they seek solace in the bottle.

As a sadly lapsed Roman Catholic, as the result of my own inability to
recognise a supreme being, I know their anguish!!

I don't get why he did a XVI name. He should have picked a unique
name, not one that 15 other people had. My first choice would have

I am sympathetic to their dilemma, and recognise their right to

do it in a much more modest and discreet manner.

I read a book while in high school about sex crimes. It gave actual
accounts of crimes and the background on the criminals. One guy, who
grew up in the Southwest, used to fool around with other boys in an
area where that was quite common. After these boys went through
puberty, they switched their attention to girls except for this guy.
He realized as a teenager that he was a homosexual and felt that the
best cure would be to join the seminary. Turns out that the main
theme to seminary living was rampant homosexuality so he decided that
probably wasn't going to work out for him, so he quit.
