I've now followed this low carb vegetatrian diet for a bit more than two
weeks, and I'm feeing great. I don't have a scale (because I'd just obsess
about it if I did), but my clothes fit better - almost as well as before
getting this job as a receptionist.
My appetite is down, so I don't go about feeling hungry so often, and
that's a definite plus.
I still miss some things, but have found some diet sodas I like, and have
one of those once or twice a week, as a treat. I need to have something,
which has status as a treat :0)
Besides, I've found some new favourites, and avocadoes with horse-radish
flavoured cream cheese in the middle has become a very welcome guest at my
breakfast table. Yummy!
I've worried about my blood sugar for a while, but feared testing myself.
Yesterday I went and bought a kit for testing at home, and this morning I
tested. It was in the "normal" range, but the highest level in that range,
so I guess that being careful is a good idea, because any higher and I'll
be in the "Go talk to a doctor" level, which is not a place I want to be.
Maybe I'm over reacting - maybe I'm not, but I prefer being on the safe
side... (I took the test on an empty stomach, as instructed, in case you
were wondering).
All in all, it seems to be the right thing I'm doing, though I'll probably
be in trouble when I'll be eating out somewhere... We'll see...
Just letting you know how I'm doing, since I've been helped so much in
here.
Kind regards,
Nikitta.
