Sorry, just letting off steam. The imbeciles got my old lock back
over a month ago, and I'm yet to receive my new one. I know you lot
that've had locks think they're lovely, but I'm still tending towards
the incompetent crooks trying to make teh process as difficult as
possible point of view, myself.
I got my replacement about six or seven weeks after sending my old lock
back. They said initially it could take 3 to 5 weeks, so after 5 weeks I
emailed them to say it still hadn't come, they wrote back after a couple
days to confirm they had got my old lock back and the replacement had not
been sent yet because the lock I needed was out of stock and on back order.
A few days after that it actually came. Not sure if the email made any
difference, but I actually appreciated the fact that I got a reasonably
quick, personal response from them, bearing in mind this is a very large
company replacing an enormous number of locks. They've certainly made a few
cockups such as sending out wrong address labels, and gone about the whole
exercise in a seemingly bizarre way, insisting on getting old locks returned
individually directly to them rather than going through dealers, but at the
same time I do give them credit for the fact that their system seems to
work, eventually, and you do see new locks for old, and they do respond,
personally, to questions if you ask.
