Same thing as your Webbie-TeeVee HTML signature

You believe that? And it thinks it's a web site. (snork)
    What a moron.

This isn't a web SITE. It's a newsgroup. There is a ton of recipes being
posted and discussed. Several fish threads. If you're not interested in a
specific thread, just skip over it. Gas is 1.979 here right now.

This isn't a web "sight". It is a news group. Your HTML sig is
not welcome here. Learn some newsgroup manners before you
post here again please. I'm not normally this harsh with newbies
but WebTV know-it-alls just [censored] me right off.

    Oh for pity sakes!
Another whining newbie that knows [censored] about the dynamics of usenet
    communities???

There is no rule that says you have to read ALL of the posts idiot!
If you are not interested in the thread subject, DON'T READ IT!!!

There is plenty about food, recipes and cooking here!

If you don't like the community spirit, then go elsewhere to a moderated
    list!

    Sheesh!

webtv gives you a way to get rid of the html stuff. do that. then log
in again every now and then over a period of several weeks -- just
read, don't react -- and you'll get a good idea of how this newsgroup
works. If what you'd like is recipes and food conversation, this is a
good place. But don't look for clearly defined limits on what folks
talk about, any more than you would try to censor all the conversations
going on over breakfast at your local Dennys.

You might want to try rec.food.recipes instead. It's nothing but
recipes. The bad thing is you can't ask any questions on that
newsgroup. There's also rec.food.baking but it doesn't get much
traffic. For cookie recipes go to alt.cookies.yum.yum.yum

    Might be... who knows?
At least for this newsgroup thru google?
It would not surprise me if Google censors.

There are specific newsgroups for this subject.
I refrained from stating the "specific" active alkaloid

Here's an herbal prescription for you...

Find one very large, healthy San Pedro cactus. (Peruvian torch works too)
They can easily be found on line, or at any good nursery that keeps
    landscaping plants.

Take a 1 ft. section (or approx. 200 to 300 grams if you want to weigh
it out). Remove all the spines with a veggie tool and slice it into one
inch slices. Carefully remove the round woody core. The lower or older
growth will be highest in Alkaloids so just save the upper part of the
    whole for cactus propagation.

Cut it up into chunks and place it into the blender, and run on high
until it's well pulverized. Strain off the juice and reduce it on a VERY
low simmer until it's down to about 1 cup. Boiling it damages the active
ingredient. Mix LIBERALLY with grapefruit juice and honey.

Hold your nose and down it quickly on an empty stomach.

Lay down and wait 2 hours.

    Wear sunglasses. ;-)

And don't take with any other medications...
And don't try to drive or work.
    And have your DH handy!!!

And remember, ownership of these cacti is legal, but it is NOT legal to
    ingest them. Seriously... <sigh>

Wow, Katra! I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am for this recipe.
    I really can't. LOL!

It's posting was meant as humor... ;-)
I am glad that you took it that way!

The "trip" resulting from this recipe lasts 8 to 12 hours and is
considered to be pretty harmless, but it is quite illegal,
    unfortunately. :-P

Mescaline is not _quite_ as likely as peyote buttons to provoke
