You can build your own from a $525 base chassis:

All you'd have to do is add a fork mount, front wheel holder, and put
two 2x2's with a slot for the back wheel with two hooks to bungee the
wheel down.

The whole kaboodle would set you back less than $600 total.

I don't think you'll find something cheaper than that.

the Gov's Requirements for building a Motorcycle Mounted trailer if
there are any?

Long as I remember the rain has been coming down. Where
you might check are motorcycle dealers. I've seen popup trailers for
camping that are pulled behind a motorcycles. You could discard the
popup tent and mount fork mounts to the floor off the trailer just like
the bed of a pick up truck. You see where I'm coming from yet.

To me, a trailer mounted to the back of a bike sounds like a far far worse
idea than a bicycle rigidly attached to a bike. Most people seem to have
enough difficulty towing their Alvis Avenger to the seaside once a year, and
that's behind a car...

You're contemplating embarking on something that, if it fails, could mean your
life or serious injury. i.e. you can't afford to pay the dues on evolutionary
development.

You need something that has a proven track record on the specific bike you own -
not on a Harley or something...

How come whenever I ask for advice on anything in a newsgroup or forum there
is garuenteed to be one person who will says its a bad Idea .....even if its
already been done and proven that its not a bad idea.

Ok I appoligise then but there are several reasons why I prefer the trailer
option.

1. It can be used for more purposes.
2. I dont have a grab rail so I cant fit those.
3. I would rather not have the hassle of fitting one of those everytime I
want to go for a bike ride and then take it off to take the girlfriend
shopping
4. You have to admit it does look dammed ugly. lol
