I've been away for a while so hello, how are you all?
1. Are Lard-[censored] rides still happening?
2. Perth people you are so lucky to have roads and paths set up for cycling. It is not nearly as scary as in Brisbane and in addition there are always cars slowing down to wave pedestrians etc across the road. I was amazed. It was dangerous for me back in Brisbane because I'd already picked up the habit of casually strolling down main streets... And Perth/Freo are full of really good-looking people, what's with that?
3. I had a major fall from the trapeze, but with minor effects, at the Tasmanian Circus Festival but had a gorgeous time. And if you meet someone really good-looking in Tassie, they're probably a tourist. Possibly from Perth (see 2) or Brisbane.

The SLART seems have to died - but am keen to resurrect it if you are keen, and LotteBum can find the time away from her monster 70km commute!! I turned up a few Friday mornings in a row, but was the only one... Got jack of that pretty quickly 🙁 So have just been sleeping a bit later and commuting on Fridays instead...
We had a BLART, though, last Sunday with JH, Backin2IT & myself. Hopefully that will keep up!! I can't do it this Sunday (roped into a charity golf day thingy with my father-in-law....), but am keen to keep the BLART momentum going!!
Glad the trip went well, and you survived your trapeze mishap. Always heard that Perth/Freo was a friendly place, but have nevergot around to heading West for the experience. Although I'd probably spend the whole time trawling drunkenly from one Margaret River winery to the next...!!

I was thinking of doing the Women's Day fun run this Sunday... and am out of town next Sunday... maybe after that?

Yes, I guess we are. We take them for granted at times, but we do have a pretty strong cycling lobby over here and good state government committment.

im in perth at the moment for work for a couple of days, no bike unfortunately, but I did the swan river loop via foot this morning and I saw a lot of what I would call Road riders (i.e they look like they should be riding on the ROAD), using the bike paths, way toooooooooo fast! was dangerous.....
fantasic running route though on a beautiful morning and I must agree with the above statements, my "eyes" are very sore being over here and its very friendly.... 🙂

Anyway, I concluded as I limped down the hallway just then to grab lunch, the human body was never built for walking or running. It was definitely intended only ever to ride a bicycle.
