warmed up, so it was easy to jump right into DLs. It was harder to do
them. I had to take 4 or 5 mins rest in between each DL set..
This is not a bad thing.

"Felt smaller" ? What a bizarre way to measure performance or success in
lifting.
Quoted message said:Since I prefer DLs to SLDLs, should I add a few sets of Leg Curls?
What's wrong with SLDLs? You mean, for more hamstring work?
If you won't do SLDLs, how about Good Mornings or Reverse Hypers?

-Squats: (1st 3 sets are warmup, not much effort), weight increases
with most sets.
1 x 12 to 15 reps
1 x 12
1 x 10
1 x 10
1 x 8
1 x 8
1 x 6
1 x 3 to 5
That'a a LOT of reps. Have you considered fewer reps, fewer sets, and only
one (heavier) working weight? (keeping the warmups).

1 x 5 or 6
Still seems like a lot to me. How long are you spending in the gym?

- Calves 5 sets.
Should I change anything? Also someone told me to keep DLs and Squats
separate and alternate. Like this:
Sun - Sq
Tues - DLs
Thurs - Sq
Sat - DLs
Is that better?
Wouldn't be for me - I'd be constantly trashed, and not able to give much on
my other days. Are you doing any other heavy lifting, like on your lats or
abs or chest or? When do you squeeze that in? Do you think you'd get
enough rest/recovery on a schedule like this? You'd be DLing one day and
squatting the next on the weekend.
However, it depends ($1 to Lyle). Some people might be able to handle this.
I couldn't. This is not to say it's wrong. I'm a huge advocate of trying
things out and seeing what works for YOUR body. It ain't gonna happen
overnight (though I did once add 25 pounds to my bench in 6 weeks), so you
have years to experiment.
