I ride long hilly rides and I'd love to try a compact crank (and loose the 13-29 pie-plate) but I use 180mm crank arms. I have really long femurs!! Anyone know of a 180mm Compact?
Thanks

ThanksYep, I even know of a 185... TA Specialties makes one called the Carmina double in 180 and 185 sizes with a 110 bolt circle. It seems to be a pretty good crank (from what I have seen, I don't have one). You can get them at http://www.xxcycle.com I contacted them to order a 185mm 110 with 34/50 and they told me that it would be ready March 1st...

Thanks Wilmar! That looks like the ticket 🙂 I have also found out that Leonard Zinn has custom cranks. All the way from 130mm to 220mm!!
http://www.zinncycles.com/cranks.aspx I bought one of his long steerer tube forks for my bike. Thanks again and happy riding!

Leonard Zinn definately compensates for that with a high bottom bracket 😉 Check out some of the monster bikes on his web site that he builds for B Ball players.
Happy riding!

If you want to stick with standard ISIS BB instead of square taper (TA) you should look into the Stronglight Z'light 180mm compact cranks. Bulltek sports has them...real nice. -
Thanks so much!! I'll check them out.
Happy cranking. 🙂
