people and topics) using the score file in Xnews. Perhaps your newsreader
has a similar function.

news rule in OE to delete anything with the word "Chung" in the subject.
I'd hate to have to killfile Bob (this one) as he sometimes offers helpful

knowledgeable posts and great writing. I don't want to killfile him over this,

Most people in my killfile are there because of an inability/refusal to trim
their posts, or for whining about their rights to top-post. Since these people
are unlikely to educate themselves or learn manners, they'll stay there.

That said, there are exceptions. When Bob was on his Sheldon-bashing jag, he
went into the killfile for a week or two. When un-killfiled, he was still at
it, so back he went for awhile. I guess what we need is a smart killfile that
tells us when this [censored] stops. 😉

suggestions, so I suggested they install filtering. Maybe if enough
people did that ....

Xnews also has this capability and I also use it, in addition to the score
file.

SPAM and other undesirable posts are not always cross-posted.

Considering that tons of pleas to switch the default Reply to the one
that includes quoted text have fallen on deaf Google ears, I have
little faith that something as complex as killfiles and filters would
be added.

One never knows. I just want them to get our feed fixed. Unfortunately,
as the IT guy has told me, usenet has about as low a priority as can be

I agree 100% Jill! However, I guess my tolerance level is lower than
yours 'cause I killfiled Bob (this one) earlier today. I set the
filter to expire in 30 days so, we'll see what that brings. If, at
that time, he's still fixated on Chung I'll make it permanent.

More to the point, why does "a regular group member" do something that
he *knows* p*sses us all off? I have laboriously been kf'ing every
single responder to Bob (this one). It doesn't do any good to only kf
Bob this one), b/c his responders will show up like army ants after a
picnic. I often kf entire threads when it becomes apparent that Bob
(this one) is at it again along with his merry band of whack jobs, but
am annoyed at having to edit "my" own newsgroup! <grumble, grumble>

Yes. Justin was in town for a book signing and I had him on my radio
program where we began the day with a most tasty lemonade (I thought).
Afterward we went to the Costco store where he was to sign books. I
sat with him and continued drinking his "Thomas Justin Collinses"
(equal parts CountryTime lemonade and gin) as we had been at the
station. A woman asked me if I was "somebody" and he reached over and
tapped a book by John Grisham. She gushed about how much she loved
"my" books and said that this was the only one she didn't have and on
and on...

He picked up the book and told me to stop being so bashful and just go
ahead and sign the book for the nice lady. So I did. As the afternoon
wore on, he tapped several other books, and I think I was Dean Koontz
for a while, too. In addition to some others I'd never heard of.
Someone drove me home. Justin's "assistant" drove him somewhere. She
came to the radio station carrying two coolers with CountryTime logos
on them. Justin asked me how I liked her jugs. Guy was 83 at the time,
freshly thrown out of his house because his wife caught him messing
around (or so he said).

Pastorio, what do you think of the foreman grill?

I've been using it more and more frequently lately, but the damned thing
is too small! I'd like to be able to grill more than one little piece of
meat at a time, and I'd also like to try grilling sliced squash in it at
the same time. Being able to cook an entire meal on it at once would be
handy!

I've recently discovered just how _wonderful_ cooking fish in it is!
Catfish and salmon specifically. I just put a little salt free lemon
pepper and dried dill on top and grill it that way. No more corn meal
coating. <G>

I'd like to get a larger grill. Which one would you recommend in a
reasonable price range, say, $100.00?

Or have you ever used one of these?

Exactly. I've taken to reading only what I want to and marking the rest
read. Normally I can just ignore that [censored]. He's got the trolls all in a
tither, they hooked a live one.
