I never run reds, heck I stop for amber if safe to do so 'cause that's
what it means.
Instead of looking at traffic lights as a hinderance.. they
should be viewed as 'track stand training tools'. ;-)

More carbs does seem like a good idea, replenish glycogen after ride
home and store some up for the next morning.
Yes, post hard exercise, you should ingest some high GI carbs
and you might want to include some lower GI carbs in your
meals. How much all depends on how far and how hard you
ride I guess. Hey, I'm no longer in the three figure weight
range!

I'm normally up at 05:30, the theory is that I get home by about 16:30.
That happens about once every two weeks, normally I'm home about 17:30.
Last night was 20:00.
