newreader do you use that lists the newest message at the top of the
thread and the older messages below it? Bizarre!

Next you'll be telling me that books should put the first page at the
back. IIRC Japanese does have books that, to westerners, read back to
front but thats related to the way they write. I wouldn't be surprised
if other right to left languages - e.g. arabic - are the same.

Or, in my case, all of them in sequence. After 4 days away, just over
400 messages. All of which had downloaded in their entirety by the
time I'd made myself a cup of tea to drink while reading them.
