My life's book found sewn cord, matched chord
Sung, for I, a wounded one. As my plot, my sandy
Lot eroded too quickly for my quill
To catch in flight. So I drifted, my hourglass, spilled
Sand upon a farther shore...
....but Folly, my goose, my friend, my flight
Companion, she kept me not alone.
O, such light!
But that ancient foe, we all too well do know,
The deadline, my destiny missed, so underestimated
I, the time...Too late, my arrival, too slow,
I in time. Swept far away, another time, I hastened
Toward...

....and when for lunch, my hunger
Sharp-toothed, I opened my tin,
By thumb and forefinger, a tab pulled
Back, for my lunch I did anticipate,
And there I found within a Vienna sausage.
But O to my dismay ~ that teeny weenie,
A hollow, flacid thing, preserved
In liquid impure. So never again,
My hunger there, I sought to quench
My appetite. Elsewhere, I go ~
Gone to nourish both body and soul.
