  1. calories 1755
    fat 119
    carb 33
    protein 150

I am on Atkins and am losing slowly which is good. Are these ratios ok
for a few months or is the fat too high and the protein too low or maybe
    the carbs high.....
    Any help is appreciated.....

  2. The protein and carbs are too high and the fat is too low. You might be
able to get by with the ratios you are currently using for now, but when
your progress stalls try adding fat and decreasing protein.

  3. Because I have read some of your notes I really cant take anything you
say seriously, can I?? Although a lurker and I just try to read people
that have something to say and there seems to be a lot of controversy
around you, I cant get a read on your intentions. That means I need to
just let them pass...... I honestly cant say what the controversy about
you is because I don't waste the time trying to figure it out. I know I
speak for a lot of people in this case but when I read your notes I
think either you are a troll or someone with a great sense of humor no
one understands. Either way I'll listen if you want to explain...
    maybe I am wrong...
And please don't make this into a flameout. I just want a simple

  4. In this one case, I agree with JC. You may wish to google for the various
online calculators for proper protein amounts. If you reduce protein to 75,
then fat could be increased to make up the difference.

I'm not as patient as you are. I would try eating lower total calories per
day. My personal goal is 1400 on average, but 1755 should give some slow
weightloss. They always say slower loss is healthier and more likely to be
maintained, but I don't recall any studies supporting it. My guess is that
continuing LC as a way of life is more important than the rate at which the
    weight was lost.

  5. I'm am someone who knows how to reduce bodyfat using low carb, and have
proven this many times. The controversy is that many people here would
rather put their faith in magic rather than in proven methods.

Btw, several people understand my humor.

Is this the reason you haven't been able to gain any lean mass yet?

You still don't believe in the efficacy of the bulking/cutting cycle?

Are you really that ignorant, or just purposely obtuse?

Yeah. Remember the joking about the 50lb sack of wheat? I couldn't
figure out why you were upset. I think facial expressions/body language are
part of communication that can not be translated in a forum. In real life,
it is easier to discern whether someone is joking or serious.

Yep. I personally feel that besides what you said, I am lacking the
"cultural context". The funny cartoons that natives watched as kids,
school stuff etc, was all different for me.

Yes, of course. Different backgrounds entirely.

  14. I don't have any sites that I can point to to back this up, but losing
weight slowly (2 pounds/week or less) is easier on your entire body,
specifically your organs. For example, you can develop fatty liver disease
from too rapid weight loss and your skin needs time to keep up or you end
up with that excess hanging skin thing I'm sure you've seen on some people.

I agree with JC. But watch what fats you get, for health purposes. Let's
get away from such things as bacon and cheesecake, and go with omega 3 fats
from tuna and salmon (and other fish), for instance.

No thanks! I'm at 3 days now, and it's getting easier. I think Ig was
picking on me because I've tried to quit and failed so many times before.

In my opinion you don't need to keep such a close eye on all those
figures. If you cut your carbs down to the level you're at, the numbers will
take care of themselves. If you eat more protein one day, and more fat the
next, it won't really make any difference as long as the carbs stay low.
