  1. Knowing this post has surfaced before, I would like an update on how folks
are feeling and their experiences with rotor cranks.

Damnation, Frank & Alma, those [censored] rotor cranks are as expensive as
hell. There are folks dying in Africa for the want of a few dollars and you
are contemplating blowing good money on these outrageously priced rotor
cranks. Maybe you could just resolve to be a bit slower on your bikes and
not enrich some [censored] who thinks his [censored] rotor cranks are worth many
    hundreds of dollars.

Christ! Get a brain why don't you? When I read posts like Frank & Alma, I
contemplate going down to my dirt floor basement in my house and putting a
bullet through my brain in order to escape the misery of existence on this
earth where some can contemplate spending a fortune on rotor cranks while
others are perishing of starvation for the want of a bit of aid.

  3. Never mind Mrs Dolan. Mrs Ed Dolan is in a wheelchair and hates the world. Ed can't afford to have rotor cranks, so has to bash everyone else who can afford them. I've got 3 sets of them and love them, so if kids in Kenya have to starve because I have rotor cranks, so be it. I really don't get the connection Ed makes though. Rotor cranks are from Spain anyhow. If Ed is so damned concered about feeding hungry kids, then she should give up her internet provider and use that money to feed some of those little rugrats.

    Rotor cranks are awesome.

    All top posters are idiots!

You bet! Price is no object when it comes to pleasing ourselves. Greed and
gluttony are the All-American virtues. Spend what ever it takes and let the
rest of the world go hang itself. I mean, [censored] those Africans anyway! Who
the hell do they think they are that they should bother us with their
starving and their many other miseries. Most especially when we have our
hearts set on acquiring those [censored] rotor cranks that cost an arm and a
    leg.

Who is this Mrs. Dolan? That would be my mother, but she has passed on from
this world of woe. I myself have never married, being of sound mind and body
(unlike the rest of you), and so I am in another universe than you poor
    married slobs.

When I think of how we Americans spend money on foolishness, it makes me
sick. If there is a God and an afterlife, many of you are going to have some
explaining to do. I will plead with God to put you into Purgatory (instead
of Hell) for a very long time where you can do repentance for your sin of
always thinking of yourself and never thinking of the Africans.

Well, Hells Bells, this group was getting deader than a door nail. That
always happens when Mr. Sherman takes leave of us. So, since nothing was
happening, I figured I would give this group a good swift kick in the pants
    just to wake everybody up.

There is just no excuse for all these extremely boring posts lately. A
newsgroup should be lively and exciting, not a morgue for stale posting of
tiresome messages. I can only take so much boredom and then I go berserk.

No connection; he is just [censored] the Asains got busted eating cats
in the park again. Quite a delicacy overseas, along with monkeys, I
understand. We are too civilized in the US: chickens, pigs, turkeys,
etc. Then we can afford Rotor Cranks.

Agreed. They were being sold at a National Bicycle Greenway Mayors
Ride event a couple of years ago. Impressive physics I can not
explain. I had Knee Savers and crank arm shorteners both on my
TerraTrike (and still do) and did not want to overdo the boom weight.

Mark at first I was a bit intimidated by the installation but once you
get going they were really not bad at all. Be sure Rotor know you are
installing them on a recumbent thus you get an amendment to the
instructions that is helpful. On an upright the dead spot is usually
at the very bottom of the pedal stroke unlike a recumbent where the
dead spot is in relation to the seat and crank height and therefore
varies widely. The instructions cover this very well. Kelly

Johnny can't afford a nocom or a set of rotor cranks. All he can afford is an internet provider. Get off the internet and go buy a bike dipshit.

Bottom posting is always correct and Chris is to be commended for not being
an idiot. However, like must of us, he also has a few mental dead spots.

  18. Here is some real RotorCrank racer data:
It looked like a recumbent! It had a big tailbox! It was Chris Evans, on his VK2 with RazzFazz tailbox. As I passed him, he complained that his legs were dead. Bonked, he was only able to manage 16 mph or so.

    http://www.lmb.org/mhpva/newsletter/2004-09/page3.htm

Glad I do not have those expensive heavy RotorCranks. A $35 BMX crankset is a better deal.

I am of the opinion that donating money or needed items to a no-kill cat
shelter would be a worthier cause.

Every time I turn on the TV I seem to come across these wretched programs
about all the starving Africans and how it will be a disaster if we don't
help them. And then I go on my computer and Usenet I see some bloke wanting
to know if it is a good idea to spend an arm and a leg acquiring something
called rotor cranks. Sometimes I get so fed up with these juxtapositions
that I go crazy. How is it possible that some can be starving to death in
Africa and others of us can be thinking about getting stuff that we need
like another hole in the head.

As a solution to the problem I may resolve never to watch any news programs
ever again. I can only stand so much depression. If I get too depressed I
will go down to my dirt floor basement in my house and put a bullet through
my brain. Anything is better than thinking about starving people.
