Here it is very difficult even to have a general practicioner; I had to go to the emergency to have my blood pressure checked and have a GP prescribe me a medication. I have time to die a couple of time before being able to see a cardiologist. "Doug Freese" <[email hidden]> a écrit dans le message de news:[email hidden]...

Now if I could just HEAR electronic beeps again. Matter of fact, I don't think my Polar even has beeps. Don't you wear its little battery out faster using beeps? I bought Polar because it advertised water-resistance and used it just once in the pool.
Swimming, I find that I cannot get my pulse up the maximum level I achieve on the treadmill. I run out of breath first. Good swimmers (aged competitors, though most younger than me, who started swimming as children) are mystified by this. My theory is that they can so easily get their pulses to run a high level, that their circulation is such they do not run out of oxygen. I think this is an interesting phenomenon, but probably not so much on this newsgroup. Earl

Best of luck! As an aside, if you or your wife post on the sci.med.cardiology group be aware that "Dr. Andrew Chung, M.D." is not a practicing physician. His unorthodox were cross-posted to this group in the past and some went to great lengths to determine he does not have admitting privileges in any hospital.
