  1. Just riding along "ping, clang, pop" rear wheel stars to wobble
big-time.... Ripped the flange right off a Hugi hub:

Lets see how good they are about the warranty. <crosses fingers>

If your wheel needs to be relaced, you should have the builder use spoke
washers. This spreads the load over the whole spoke hole and reduces the
    stress raising going on.

    Hugi should probably warranty it...

Are you going factory direct with your warranty claim, or through a
LBS? FD will probably be faster, though I've never done that to any
of the Hugi hubs I am riding and have been riding since 1998.

    Dang!
BTW, I was looking at the photos of the Buzz Bomb's dropouts, and how
the chain/seatstays connect to it. I'd seen it before, but where....
A friend of mine rides a '91 SE Floval Flyer. So you're in fine
    company.

I'm thinking I will likely need to unlace it from the hub to send it in, ayah.

    Spoke Washers, eh?
I'll need to tell my builder(that'd be me) about them.
    Ummm..... what's a spoke washer?-)

For less that 500 miles of easy riding, I should hope so.
I've seen failures like this on radially laced wheels but _never_ on a 3x.

I'm trying the FD route first since the LBS I purchased it from is
    many many miles away, now.

What kind of tension did you bring the wheel up to?

Tight. Not as tight as a Peter Jon White wheel, but tight.
(Still no tensionometer in the shop)

No response yet other than the autobot responder: "I will be out of town on
business (Interbike) during the week of October 4-10. I will not be able to
check e-mail until the following week."
