  1. Almost everybody who get cought doing doping, says that they didn't do it.
Most of them lie. I wonder how it feels living with a big lie like that. Do
they lie to friends and family to?
What does Hamilton say to his wife when she asks him? Is it possible to lie
    then?
They are not going to burn in hell, but they are burning right now, walking
around lying. It must be hell.

I would imagine that at least some of the doping sportsmen believe
that their competition are doing it, and they tell their wives the
same thing and say it's needed to level the playing field.

As Virenque said, it's not doping. It's preparation.

Sooo your strategy is to admit it and stun the crowd with your amazing
    candor then go on cheating?

By golly, it just might work!

Nah, reading your posts is, tho.

  6. I do hope that IF Hamilton is found to be without fault that you and
your kind will be just as enthusiastic to admit you jumped the gun and
are sorry. Not that I am sure he is innocent but it DOES happen in these
kinds of matters. Why not slow down a minute and let this case take it's
course. There will be plenty of time to diss Hamilton if he cannot prove
    his innocence.

He only needs to demonstrate that their is not a compelling case made for his guilt.
For example, if the test naturally comes up positive for him, this proves nothing,
    neither innocence nor guilt.

Not very dependable. I know of a bank embesseler who passes her FBI lie
dectector test with flying colors. If you don't truly beleive that you're
doping, you won't test as lying when you "lie."

Oh but I'm sure he suffers the Millar Syndrome, the Anglophone Cheater's Guilt. I
saw it in his hesisating arm after finishing in Athens too.
A continental European pro would pass, not Tyler.

It is very rare for a B-sample to come up negative if the previous one was
positive, but it is ppossible there are some matters of procedure or perhaps
uncertainties in the test that Hamilton could exploit to avoid suspension.
However, that would not solve the debate. If I were a fan of Hamilton, I
would not gain any confidence if he could only go free because of a smart
lawyer finding an error in some trivial procedure.

When I saw the recording of Hamilton at the press conference, I thought he
was lying, regardless of what I think about the tests. Not sure why I
thought that. He just did not strike me as sincere.

How to prove that he has not had a blood transfusion in the last 6 weeks
though? Perhaps if they send him to Siberia for 6 weeks and he then fails
another test then the test must presumably be flawed (or he got a blood
    transfusion from a sled dog).

Right. I seem to remember Chuck Colson passing with flying colours.

The benefit of a lie detector test is that the pressure of taking one
sometimes causes people to change their story, which allows the
    detection of the lie.

Well, the three I took at NSA and the several before and since, the
issue was not your answers, which actually were not recorded in
detail, but how you reacted in the 5-15 seconds after each question.
The stress is relative, as I felt a fair amount of stress even while
telling the truth. Some people don't and some people can generate
deliberate false readings, so the lie detector test is hardly fool
    proof.

There are definitely false positives as well, since some people will
react with stress to certain key words. I remember a test given by an
attractive blonde wearing a miniskirt, trying to catch a sex pervert
and by the time she was done, I wasn't sure what I had admitted to. Or
    should have admitted to...

    Yeah, me too.

I recall being told about the questions before they were asked and being
asked if I had any reservations about the questions. It didn't really
matter what those reservations were, if I was willing to talk to the
interviewer about them I probably couldn't be blackmailed to conceal the
truth. While that was done with the machine turned off, I believe that's
where the tests were passed or failed.

Not all of those tests were the same. Depends on whose test you were
taking. I was never given a test by anyone in a miniskirt. Mine were
always given by GS looking types, wearing a tie, in similar small office
settings. It's just that some asked more annoying, probing questions
    than others.

    Yep, having a conscience sucks.

  20. It's a combo of:

    1. If everyone is doing it isn't cheating
    2. If the doctor doesn't tell me what goes in my arm I can always
claim I did not know what I am taking in
    3. As long as I am passing the doping test I am not cheating.

I have a hunch most pro's are telling themselves that #1 is true. The
scary thing is that they know more than we do 🙁
