He hasn't made a sincere effort in past years to prepare for the race
as a potential winner so why would he do it different this year? In
past years he has essentially said he was there to help George, or
somebody else.

Lance was at Boulevard the other night -- it's one of SF's best and
one of my fave restaurants. He definitely knows the dining scene A
game (courtesy of Thos. Weisel no doubt).

I wish I could see the SFGP this year... damn!

Lance will fly out there because he's 1) receiving appearance money
and 2) his sponsors and team management tell him to.

As for his "a" game, he WAS seen doing some high altitude training in
the vicinity of Aspen, CO this past weekend. Sheryl was doing a
concert Saturday evening, and Lance was spotted out riding in the
area. Can't say if he was training, or just riding along. He was
accompanied by a guy on a scooter, so he may have actually been
motorpacing at some point. Not when he was spotted, though.

I think there are half a dozen girls who could win this thing, so my picks
were just a fresh stab at it. I like change up once in a while. I think
Cooke will win the thing, but second and third could be really hard, Jeanson
is absent, and you never know who might be up there at the end. I think
Armstrong could be in there, maybe Bessette. Never know about the twins,
when they are on, they are really on.

abolished. Go to the race website and you'll see that all traces of "SFGP"
have been thoroughly scrubbed away. It's just the T-Mobile International.

can it? she is an unbelievable rider.. but to stay till the
very end. anyway, i think her and tina pic will probably be
working for spk.

but i think that shows the hills were attacked with less
vigor? or it plays out more like philly - where the manyunk
wall hurts but doees not usually decide the event for the
women.
