  1. URGENT NOTICE!

    ZOOM HANDLEBAR RECALL.

CELL Bikes are doing a voluntary recall of certain batches of road bikes sold between mid-September 2008 and 27th February 2009.

Models that may be affected include: S2200, Blade, Swift and Team.

Please check the Serial Number under the bottom bracket to see if it falls between the following numbers:

    S2200................QL8C0201 to QL8C0400

    BLADE/SWIFT...Q18C0051 to Q18C0300

    SWIFT 2009......Q18J0001 to Q118J0150

    TEAM 2008........IR8C0411 to IR8C0560

    TEAM 2009........IR810001 to IR810200

The ZOOM handlebar factory have identified the problem as being the cable groove on the top of the handlebar as being too deep, and hence possibly weakening the handlebar.

If you have purchased one of these models in this period, please DO NOT continue to ride and contact us immediately to organise a replacement handlebar.

If you know anyone who has bought a bike fitted with similar ZOOM handlebars, you should tell them to have them checked with their purchasing dealer.

Please contact us at [email hidden] or call us at 02 9565 1899 and provide us with your serial number to arrange replacement handlebars.

If you are able to bring your bicycle to our retail shop for a changeover, we must arrange a scheduled time to do the replacement.

  2. There is no good posting on here mate. You owe it to your customers to print a public notice in a daily newspaper in each capital city.

I wouldn't muck around when it comes to handlebars.

We're already posting a Public Notice in newspapers around Australia, we just wanted to be thorough, as Forums are another avenue to spread news. We're not 'Mucking Around', as the safety of our customers is of our utmost concern.

Do you disagree with our actions or have any other suggestions?

I know a lot of riders who don't pay much attention to public notices in papers and just live in forums, by covering both, we want to ensure that people who prefer electronic media to environmentally unfriendly paper media are accommodated as well.

Yes. TV ads are a good idea. Especially ones with Franco Cozzo in them.

If anyone can shift cheap imports Franco can!!

nah, we're holding out for 'Kenny', the entire cast of 'the Castle' as well as the 'Good Guys' dancers.

Kenny is OK. Ken Dolls have more 'advertising impact' IMO.
