  1. I think that the excuse I have no one to ride with is useless. I ride by
myself more than anything else. Everyone dropped it over here (including
me) I got back into it and rode alone for about 3 months before getting
Jerad back into it (we've ridden together once in the last 2-3 months
or so) and Keaton (we've ridden together twice in the last 2-3 months)
and I usually get abut 25 hours a week on my uni. So about 98% alone.
It's not so bad, get an Ipod.
You'll most likely get more done.

  2. Yeah, i spend almost all of my time riding alone, some rides with my
bro, but mostly solo. too bad he quit, he was one talented young rider.
Oh well, maby Kris Holm will let me take Zack's spot!

Good point, does this mean KHU will be looking for a new rider? Or do
you think he'll be kept on even though he isn't riding so much?

He'll probably be retained. His past is worth more most rider's
    futures.
Besides, it's not like his skillz just vanished.

  5. True about the vanishing part. And well look at it this way. It's not
costing Darren anything (time, money, etc) if Zack isn't riding. lol.

Holy [censored] Shaun!!! I get nowhere near that amount of time while going
to college. I'm lucky if I get two hours a week in (especially with
all of the rain we've been getting lately).

No wonder people quit for a while.

I think one of the strongest things keeping me going is the fact that
while I want to go out and ride every day, I simply don't have the time
or energy. So, when I do get out, it feels so good!

But, during summer...I average 2-4 hours a day.

99% of my riding is alone. I feel like I don't accomplish much if
there are riders with me. And the only times I get to ride with others
    are trials bikers.

I find I get more done with friends, probably cause im just out to have
fun and end up trying new things and interesting lines form my friends
and they help push me to get better.

I am with you with the Ipod though. When I ride alone, I get my mp3
player and load it up with some good fast paced music that will get me
going and feel like I can do anything, and then im off having fun by
    myself unicycling for hours.

  9. Another reason why kids quite around 19-20-21 is due to college, booze
and girls! Doing all three of those things takes a lot of time and
effort. The whole 5 years in college I didn't ride much at all
(although now I wish I would have), but now I'm back into it. Ryan
Woesner (s?) the freestyle world champ is going to college this year
and more than likely he'll stop riding too. Unless you california guys
    can keep him in it!

  11. Ouch that's so sad. haha.

Don't drink, don't do drunks, teach your girl to ride. And manage your
time wiht school work. I have a lot of school work. But packing a
sandwich for lunch and eating it while doing homework, i get two hours
of homework done at school, and spend after dark doing homework. It's
like 4 hours of class a day, 4 hours of homework, 3.5 hours riding.
haha. It's awesome. Girlfriend, do homework with her, haha. It's
    amazing.

That may be OK for you, but keep in mind other need different
motivations. I stopped riding much after our muni community "died". I
rode a lot alone, but it was more motivating to ride with other riders
often. There's more to life than uni . . . like friendship, love, and
social life. Riding uni alone can be very "anti-social'.

With my favorite hobby, I do it alone a LOT, but there are also weekly
    meetings to keep me going.
