Hi,
Firstly, I'll start of by thanking Wheelist for his help/support and
ideas on what I am trying to develop. Which has received some criticism
and I dont know why really. And I'd also like the thank the people who
have responded to my last post and provided pictures and articles and
info on my site, www.trailandtrack.co.uk
Anyway, I'm a cyclist and I like to go out mountain biking and always
found it a bit of a chore to find bike routes in the Uk that others had
done, or found their own. So, set about developing a website called
Trail and Track (http://www.trailandtrack.co.uk) which was created for
bikers to post trails and routes around the UK for others to use, rate,
comment on etc...
The site has been live for a week now, and a whole host of shops from
around the UK have joined the directory and listed themselves and have
sent some really positive feedback.
However, only a small handful of people have posted trails. I really
want people to add their trails, it only takes a few minutes and its
simple to do.
If you have a spare 5 minutes, and you have some routes or trails that
you like, and think others would like to do, then why not pop over to
www.trailandtrack.co.uk and add it. Also, you have the opportunity of
winning a years subscription to Mountain Biking UK by posting a trail
or just subscribing to the newsletter.
I'm working with the co-founder of Motionbased to look at sponsorship
and some oher ideas that we are looking at developing so I'm willing to
put as much effort in to get this off the ground as others are to use
the site.
if anyone aslo has any ideas, or wants to contribute (I'm currently
looking at doing a users review of 2007 bikes if anyone wants to
contribute) or if anyone has any cycling events, news or items they
want to contribute, or even better, pictures to be included into the
gallery.
