  1. I thought it would be interesting to hear peoples stories of their highlights in cycling, whether it be racing in world championships, your first club race, a training ride, conquering a mountain, seeing a bike race, or even just getting a new bike, it doesn't matter just list the ways cycling has made your life more pleasurable.

My careers highlight (so far) is getting second in the State Criterium Cahmpionship.

  2. going 70mph on my road bike. no, i am not lying.

on the racing side, i suppose the best acomplishment is, i am currently the CT state road race champion for 17-18men

or maybe when i won a prime at the tour of sommerville junior race in 2002, lol!

  3. [censored] 70 mph thats about 115 kmph i think.....
that makes my record of 89kmph look pretty small lol.

it was on a 9% downhill and i was drafting a car for the most part.
    so much fun.

update: my 9th place(4th in field sprint) finish in a pro/1/2/3 race yesterday is my career highlight. yay!

  5. G'day,

career highlight & lowlight in the same race. Did a 4 stage tour race. Won the 1st stage in a bunch sprint, after getting shelled over the KOM & working my guts out to get back on. Stage 2 was a ITT. Finished 4th, 5 secs down on the winner, to retain the leaders jersey. Won stage 4, again in a bunch sprint........Oh yeah, stage 3, (i'm trying to blot it out of my memory!), the bunch worked me over & I got caught by myself in windy conditions...they put 3 minutes into me!....so over 3 of the 4 stages I was 15 seconds in front.....only to finish 7th overall. I'm still having therapy for this......!!,

    cheers,

    Hitchy

  6. i once did a kilo in 1:07:3
