  1. Three young women are sitting in the waiting room of a gynocologist's office. Each one is busy knitting a sweater for their baby-to-be. The first one stopped knitting and took a pill. "What was that?" the others asked. "That was vitamin C. I want my baby to grow up healthy" was the reply.

The second one stops knitting and also takes a pill. "What was that?" the other two inquired. "That was iron. I want my baby to grow up big and strong." she answered.

Finally the third one stopped knitting and took a pill. The others asked "What was that?" "It's Thalidomide," she answered. "I just can't get the arms right on this stupid sweater."

  2. Little Jimmy's parents were out of their minds trying to get him to stop chewing his fingernails. They tried therapists, home remedies (like ear wax under the nails), nothing worked.

One day, Jimmy and his mother were riding the bus; Jimmy was chewing away, while his mother shook her head in near-defeat. Then, at the next stop, a VERY pregnant woman slowly climbed on the bus. She sat down across from Jimmy.

Inspired, Jimmy's mother whispered, "If you don't quit chewing your nails, your belly will get as big as that lady's over there."

Wide-eyed, Jimmy looked back and forth between his mother and the pregnant woman; then, he got out of his seat, stepped over to the woman, and whispered, "I know what YOU'VE been doing......"
