Im 20...and love cycling -
Hey Q, I'm R 🙂 . I'm just 16 and yeah, love biking. I'm sure there are many youngers at our age rides.
-
I am 17 as well, and just starting cycling. How long you guys been cycling? If any of you race, what do you think of the races at 17. I am hoping to start racing soon.
-
I've been cycling quite some time. But not training. Just rides. I'm not in the US. Well, I hope to start racing also 🙂 n get my 1st road racing bike 😉
-
I have been cycling consistenly for about a week now (almost every day) but for about a month before it was on and off cycling.

i too am 17. i have been casually riding for about 3 summers now on my dad's old bike. I have a new(used) bike on the way, and i deffinatly plan to be ridding more. i haven't raced, but it might be fun. i'm not serious enough to train for races though, i play other sports that would interfere with this.

i'm 17 too....i've been a mountain biker most of my life, just recently, thanks to my older brother's encouragement, i have begun road biking....i got a trek 2300 and compared to my old mountain bike, it flies! in my first few weeks, i've been doing rides of about 25-30 miles at around 18-20 mph....by then end of the month i plan to do a 50 or 60 mile ride..........
i live in CT, USA...whats the deal and i was wondering, whats the deal with racing? are there lots of good races available? how good do you have to be to race in these? whats the deal? any info on this would be great, thanks..
but anyways, yea, im 17, and even though im just beginning, i love to ride

he was a mt biker like me, and then he switched...and told me it was good...also, he works in a bike shop so he was able to hook me up with the 2300 for barely any money, which was really sweet....if you dont road bike, i reccomend it....its sooo fast

Well, you have a nice bike I must say... -
Well, I guess I'm not 17, but I started riding when i was 17 or 18. I'm now 21. I started off mountain biking on a Trek 4500, then a Specialized FSR Extreme, then switched to only road cycling which I have been doing since I was 19. I ride a Giant TCR 2.
Nice to meet you all!

i'm 17.. this is my 3rd summer loving bikes. i still haven'y raced... marching band interfered before... and now Knee problems.. so i haven't been training seriously. Since i can't drive, i'm stuck in this 30 mile radius that is not cycling friendly... oh well.. there's always next year...

19, and hoping to do some self supported tours. Other than that I just ride to work, to the store, out on local trails, day stuff mostly.
I have a backpacking background so I figure why not combine my love for the open road and living light with a tent and sleepingbag.
I never bothered to get my drivers permit because I love cycling.. 😄

I am 19 too, kinda your age. I love cycling a lot. I do it on my own mostly and it's the best way to learn new roads and explore new places. Some of my friends, and my parents too, are amazed at how much I know about the sort of secret roads in the countryside and they help a lot when getting stuck in a traffic jam by car and take a shortcut through the country. I've been doing this sport since I was a kid, I used to spend whole sundays running around in a football ground or something non stop for the whole day😉 sometimes I didn't even want to stop for lunch.

Heh, I am far from been a youngster but if you want to check out races in your area (not pro) you can look on active.com plus they have some excellent training info etc, etc - check it out!
See ya on the road you young whipper snappers :p

Nice Bike!!!Im 15 ,I've been racing for about a year now(riding for 4) and just got picked up on the John Deere Junior Development Cycling Team sponsored by John Deere www.jdcycling.com
As I've said to other newb's ,my main advice is to start slow and join a local cycling club.
