I'm planning to cycle down on the Friday and cycle back home on the
Sunday---though the train might be tempting by then. I'll be camping there
probably. I'll probably not do any rides on the Saturday but use it as an
excuse to catch up with a few old friends in York. Definitely up for a URC
meet either night.

Sadly I'll not be there for the first time in a few years. Well, actually
it's not that sad since the reason I'm not there is that I'm heading off to
France to ride La Marmotte 🙂

Is that anything like the Hogan? We have a Monolith, but I don't like
the orientation of it - ideal tent would be the size of the Monolith
with the orientation of the Hogan...

the afternoon.
We will be riding the 250 miles home tho', on Monday/Tuesday.

I'll be in the motor section with a Red P Reg Rover 200 bearing H'Angus and
Sheffield Steelers stickers.

dig out the various windsocks, though ours are more traditional (boring)
shapes, one tube with streamers and one spiral. The tent is a green

It has happened to me as well.
Once I turned up unbooked and the lightweight section was full, and I
had to pitch in the other bit. Ugh. Never again.
Now I'd always book.

I've seen people turn up on the Saturday and still get a pitch. I guess
we've just been lucky.

the office finally closes down. Does that make us too late for the
