I wasn't expecting to be able to come but I am now combining lecturing
at a conference with collecting my son from the University; a day
looking at bikes seems a reasonable pay back!

A set of numbers has already been exchanged and I believe the plan is to
do a pub thing on the Friday (And watch Arthur race off into the
distance on the Ron Kitchin ride ;-) ).

Will you be bringing the Dutch Speed? I'd love to take a look at one in
the flesh... seeing as they were basically responsible for my starting
such a daft project in the first place.

Any leakage of plans in this direction appreciated.

I'll probably only have the Brompton. The van doesn't have a bike rack
and I'll need all the interior space for the furniture removal part of
the trip.

While in a moment of madness, I sent of the audax form for the 150.. I
think I figured that if I want to do it I can, and if I don't then the
fee goes to the CTC anyway.

But I will not be keeping up with Arthur.. He'll probably be back well
before I have made it to the final control..

erm, we haven't got as far as actually having arrangements as such. We've
just swapped mobile numbers.

Now seems as good a time as any to make arrangements though, so I'd
suggest 7.30 at the entrance to the main rally site (just by the
showers/toilets at the end of the racecourse stands)

Then depending on how knackered those that have ridden are we can
either ride the 2-3 miles to a decent pub or sit on the site and
drink beer/tea.

Not sure we'll be there by 19:30, you might see us rolling at that time
as we are riding from Leeds straight after work. We'll need to make camp
and visit Tescos for provisions. I'll call someone to find out where you
are.
