It seems we have moved on from foodstuffs to single malts... nice. I had
to check twice though as I though at first I noticed the level in the
bottle reducing from shot to shot :-)

It's never (four years now) had a proper Cannondale-qualified-mechanic
strip. I keep it as dry and as greased as I can, but my problem is at
least partly that I'm 100 miles away from the nearest Cannondale dealer.
It's not now as buttery-smooth as it should be, and a proper service is
fairly high on my todo list. It does help that I have two Leftys, so I can
swap it out to get it serviced...

In theory you're supposed to get them stripped every 40 hours of use, which
would get very expensive. Fortunately that does not seem to be necessary.
But if you have a wet enough ride to get water into the boot you do need
to dry it carefully.

Can do either Foska related food or single malts. Though I wouldn't
want to ditch the Foska connection yet, as (a) NHS Tayside has
provisionally okayed the bike to work scheme and (b) Roos works in an
anthropology department and nobody's done a proper job with bones yet... ;-)

That's pretty good, but not what I meant which is urc Kitchen Pr0n has
yet to feature bones as well placed as Marmite, mustard etc. The Foska
bones jacket (as sometimes sported by the good Dr. Eisma) has been
described as "rather well done" by a fairly well known professor from
one of UoD's bones departments.

Biopace takes me forward. The granny ring on my Rockhopper is
still Biopace. I never use it though [1], the bike is used as my
commuting machine these days.

Because.

Do be precise, to show off the fact that they are 'Edition Speciale'
Ksyrium SSCs, which are some half a dozen grammes lighter than
the 'ordinary' Ksyrium SSCs. But mainly, just because they look so bling.
Mavic now do wheels (Crossmax SLR) of similar construction and identical
colour scheme for Cannondales like mine, and I'm really tempted. A snip at
£600 the pair...

The Dolan is a really really nice bike and it's going better than ever
(I've just got in from my first time trial of the year); just a shame
about the rider!
