    Let's see, new and novel ways to bring knees into contact with things at speed, enhanced need for
    steel-toed shoes or chainmail gloves for stability when stopped, face in close proximity to
    potential paths of objects flung from front wheel, a frame layout that's much more rider-build-
    specific than a normal bike...the list of reasons why this one won't catch on just keeps growing.

    He should sell it to a movie studio as a "bike of the future", and try to get the contract to build
    several dozen (with full fairings, of course) to use in the next SF epic. (Given how Hollywood
    usually butchers those anyway, it almost certainly wouldn't make the resulting film any worse...)

    I thought I had a hard time keeping my head angled high enough to see the road when my handlebar was
    a few inches too low. Only Gumby could see the road on that bike.

    Yes, but the road is off-limits to bicycles. The plan is to replace the land over the big dig
    with a park, and I hope this park will include a bike path. Does anybody know if a bike path is
    in the works?

    Because, unlike you Fabrizio, I do not have to comform exactly to a group to compensate for a lack
    of self-esteem. 😉 I am not afraid to be seen riding a recumbent bicycle.

    I'm afraid you're quite wrong. I (and Per Somethingorother.telia.se) have a book called "Älskade
    Cykel" with a picture of just this from the 1950's in Sweden (IIRC). It didn't have any further
    information, unfortunately.

    Am I correcting in presuming UCI banned these too?

    Aside from hillclimbing and the 1999 British HPVA championships, how are these doing generally in HPV competition.

    Is anyone selling these in US?

    Are there any prone tadpoles?
