I would like to put yellow tires on it. I have no idea what type of tires to purchase, nor the size. This is my first bike. Nearly all of my riding is on cement and asphalt (...).
I've checked on Nashbar, and seen tires for sale that were yellow, however I have no idea what to purcahse, or what to look for. I assume most anything I get would be better than stock since I have a lower end bike, but I have no idea if this is actually the case.
May someone point me into the proper direction?

Thank you for the link to the tires. Are those decent tires? I probably won't buy them until my others start to wear out. How many miles is a set of tires (and tubes? at that) good for?
Yep, the internet has definitely made this planet a heck of a lot smaller.
There's no way to tell how long a set of tires will last. It depends on too many factors. Riding style, your weight, typical riding surfaces, tire pressure, and differences between different makes and models makes it impossible to predict.
Building new bike, fast tourer/commute / trainer..... Is there a better tire (tyre) then the Continental Ultra Gatorskin, 700 x 28 for all round performance and puncture resistance ? Priorities... performance, puncture resistance, comfort, wear. in that order ? I Know it's a bit of a new thread, just thought I could stitch it in

700x28 - man gotta love the metric system - too bad they didn't use it the 80's (when my bike was manufactured).....what is that in INCHES?

It's similar to a 27 x 1 1/8, but not close enough to be interchangeable. A 27 inch tire is roughly 8 millimeters larger in diameter than a 700c tire. Too big to fit on the same rim.
