Why is it that winners of the leader jersey always put it on backwards? Is that just so that the sponsors printed on the back get facetime?
What's the proper etiquette? If you're putting on a race leader jersey that doesn't have any sponsors on it, can you put it on the right way?
National champion jerseys go on the right way, though . . . ?
Gotta figure this out before I start winning them 🙂

The jerseys on the podium are not ' put on backwards '. 🙄
They have a ready supply of jerseys with a full zip on the back and iron on sponsor patches for all the teams in the race. That makes it particularly easy to slip on the jersey on the podium after having modelled your full team jersey for the cameras.
Those jerseys are not actually used in the race the next day... 😎

full zip in the back . . . that sounds like 'put on backwards' to me . . .
But still, doesn't answer my questions: Why?? It can't be because it's easier; it's pretty darn easy to put on a regular jersey, isn't it? Maybe because the zipper in the front interupts the design? Still that seems weird to me.
Also, according to Lennard Zinn, they aren't iron-on; they're legit.
Podium girls zip the jersey up and it is probably easier for them with the zipper in the back and they do not get in front of the riders and obstruct him from the crowd and cameras.

I've seen a show where they focus on the guy who does the shirts quickly after a race stage. They are screen printed.
