Wow. That's as bad as anything from the days of neon and day-glo
kits. At least there's no lavender or purple mixed in there.

I miss the days of simple kits-- black shorts, no helmet, no eye
shades, jerseys where you could actually make out the sponsors names,
shoes that didn't look like a kid threw up on them after an all day
binge at the carnival. Ah well, getting old...

I confess that I just was being a selfish fan. I always wear eye
shades. Not only does it spare the eyes from tiring in the sun/wind
but it makes it harder for bugs, cinders, and other flying debris to
get in there and ruin an otherwise fine ride.

I just miss seeing the intensity/pain in the eyes of the racers.
Don't know how those hard men back in the day cranked out km. afetr
km. with no eye protection...especially in a beast like Paris-
Roubaix. Some of them didn't even wear gloves either.

actually i've seen him in his regular team kodak kit (canadian chanp
jersey), recently training down at the Villenuve track, and it's quite
normal and easy on the eyes. That jersey he's wearing must besome kind
of points jersey...as for the knee warmers, that i don't get...

No colored shorts for me and I just sold my white shoes for black
ones..I like my simple wool jerseys, Cinzano-type..getting old also.
