It's coming from the playing fields at St Kevins. Poor ohttref got the worst of it. The fence between their land and Gardiner's Creek shows that the water was about a metre higher than their levee bank. Looks like the Scotch playing fields, on the other side of the creek, were dry. Is God trying to say something to the Catholics? :-)
Actually, it's more likely that the bend in the creek at that point, plus a couple of trees jammed against the City Link supports, caused a surge on one side of the creek.

As far as I can tell, God told the Catholics to build their schools on enormous tracts of prime hill-top real estate. If St. Kev's wasn't listening when they bought their playing fields, that's too bad. We at Xavier are dry on our hill. Of course, my office is under the Chapel, and it (the Crypt, as it's called, not the Chapel) leaks every bloody time we get decent rain, so go figure.
