  1. Went to the Nepalese/Tibetan restaurant in town, Everest on Grand, for dinner
tonight with David and one of my cousins (she's my mom's cousin, does that
make her my second cousin?). We had the vegetarian momos, steamed dumplings
filled with onions and cabbage, the thupka, a spicy noodle soup and out
entrees. David had the curried cabbage but he got that very hot so I did not
try any, Rebecca had the curried okra which was excellent, it had a really
    good flavor.

I had the yak! I wanted to try it. It was good but honestly it only tasted
like beef. If I didn't know it was yak I would have assumed it was beef.

All in all, a great restaurant if you're in the minneapolis/st paul area.

the party was wonderful! No one fought, the snide comments were kept to an
absolute minimum, I even kept my drinks rather weak as I needed no escape in
that direction. I smoked too much, though, because for whatever smoking might
mean to anyone, it is a welcome respite from stress and hubbub.

People liked the food, they really seemed to enjoy it. I think I had a great
variety of styles, textures and flavors so everyone could enjoy something.

She is your first cousin once removed. If you had a kid, your kid and
she would be second cousins. Don't argue with me - I'm the one with the
database of 135 family members comprising 4 generations . "-)

It all sounds pretty good, especially the Tibetan pirohy. "-)
