"[censored], The Beautiful" cookbooks

I don't know, notbob.

I've picked them up a zillion times and always ended up putting them
down; the recipes just didn't seem delicious or doable enough, I
guess. (And I'm a cookbook junkie.)

On the other hand, at ten bucks a pop, it could be fun.

If you do buy one and try it, let us know how it goes!

Ah, another cookbook I bought (5 yr ago) and from which I have yet to
try a recipe. These books do make the "[censored]" look gorgeous, if not the
food. I couldn't resist the photos (of Italy).

Nothing wrong with them as far as they go. We bought some at
Sam's/Costco for less than 10 dollars. I don't cook from them as such,
but they are good for information.

They are pretty. We have a few of them. The one we use the most is the
Thailand one. SO recommends the Culinaria series. It's a German
publisher (Könemann). We have the Caribbean one. Pretty pictures, good
recipes, and very complete information about cultures. They're hefty
books.

I have Italy, Chinese and Australia..beautiful books, have tried a few
recipes and they work well

eBay Australia had France and Australia books for auction starting price
$15AUD...about $11US

I have Provence, The Beautiful, but it is by an author I highly
respect: Richard Olney. A great book. If this one is available, I
would get it.
