I used Expedia for the purchase of a Tacx i_Magic Trainer.
Lot cheaper than elsewhere. Goods arrived on-time and in A1
condition.

Bigger problem was with the 720 Ir Download Link - bought
from LBS, incidentally. Couldn`t get it to work with Windows
XP for love nor money!! Eventually after receiving good (but
useless) help from Polar, they refunded
me.

I think it's getting cheaper as the S725 is coming, with a
transfer to mobile phone (Nokia 5140, rleased late summer)
and the speed sensor being mounted on the seat stays rather
than the fork.

I have a 720 and think it's superb. Used on the bike and in
the gym, the only issue I've had is getting the speed sensor
on the forks of my road bike so that it doesn't miss a
revolution, as road bike forks tend to be slim and close to
the spokes.

Other than that, very happy with it.

I bought a Polar S720i from Xpedia in January - before the
price went down
:-(

Be aware, though, of the cost of the following:

- the IR download (available either USB or Serial)

- the S720i isn't very mush use if you don't use it to
download data.

- While the monitor comes with a speed sensor, the cadence
sensor is extra

- if you plan to use it as a bike computer with several
bikes, it gets a bit pricy, with extra speed (and
candence) sensor need for each.

- There is a power sensor option, but it is truly expensive
(£240, as I recall)

The IR download and each sensor go for around £25 each part.

You can get a laptop's built in IR port to work, I think,
for Win95, though I have not tried this.

For what it's worth, I'm very pleased with the S720i.
Similarly, I've been pleased with Xpedia's service in the
past, though they've made a few mistakes in recent orders.
Always polite and quick to rectify however. I would
recommend asking them to check the item is in stock first.

I have buckled though and ordered a S725 from

I will let you know how I get on if anyone is interested.
Reasoning it out in my I decided I will probably get quite
cross with myself in a few months for ordering the older
model (I know this is balls but it helps me justify it to
myself ;-) ).
