XC skiing with G. Lemond

While I never got to ski with him, I definately found Lemond to be one of the nicest guys I've ever
met. Definately somebody who won't blow you off.

Interesting - I met him in his early years and can also report that I was favorably impressed with
him as a really nice guy. I just don't understand why he doesn't come off like that in the press or
on camera . . .

I met greg years ago when he was still riding for the Renault Elf Team. It was the same year that
Hinault left Renault Elf to form the La Vie Claire team. Greg is a cool guy. I just wish that that
his riding conduct was a bit more professional

out trying to casually bump into him (between bouts of thrashing around in the snow trying to

little cocky. Granted, he did have every reason to be. After all, we were all thinking that he will
be a Euro Pro and ride the TdF someday. I just don't understand why he doesn't come off like that in

Have you never heard of the term "two-faced"? Most people have at least 2. He simply maintained a
less-then-genuine public persona like just about every other person that spends any time in the
Limelight.
