I wonder if WW HO had a word in the ear of the meeting leader, it
    might do the trick.

Worth a try (thanks for address) but local residents having a word in
same ear hasn't made a blind bit of difference.

perhaps the thought of a £30 fixed penalty fine as well as the weekly WW
fee might help reinforce the argument

Anyone else want to tell him, or shall I? 😉

Pfft. I was reading on Google Groups earlier when I posted that and
various replies hadn't come through yet.

Either that or I'm just a bit slow on the uptake.

I get quite a few "But you don't look as if you weigh that much."

You should point out to them that muscle weighs more than fat. ;-)

Please do. I was under the impression a pint of muscle weighed about 20%
more than a pint of fat.

NO, your thinking of a pound of muscle weighing 20% more than a pound of
    fat ;-)

Well using the car a lot less & the bike a lot more didn't negate my
need to go to WW... Please don't assume that fat people don't exercise.

Indeed. This fat person is a case in point.

I remember how frustrated and angry I used to get as a five year old
when my dad insisted a pound of feathers weighed the same as a pound of
    lead. :-)

I got that bit fairly easily, but then my old man started insisting that
an ounce of gold was heavier than an ounce of feathers . . .
