  1. Hi,

I'm looking for some 80's or earlier vintage cycling shoes in size 48
or larger. Duegi, Marresi, Detto, etc.

    Thanks!

    Joseph

If you can't find NOS, might look at Adidas retro shoes, I have some,
with bolt on cleat, for clips and straps, in the look holes, works
    great.

Nalini also has some, but alas like the Adidas, they are too small. :-(

All the modern shoes have so much padding, and straps that getting them
into toe clips is a pain. My old Duegi's fit like a glove and slip into
the clips on the first try.

This place used to have old-style shoes:

and about everything else, too. Gone at present, maybe they'll return?

Yes, they infuriatingly come up on just about every Google search I do
for various stuff I am looking for.

    I hope they do return.

IIRC, renaissance-cycles was run by Baron and Cecile Corpuz, who still
sell under the eBay name "banana_brain"
