They won't be cheap, though. AFAIK there are no sources of "cheap"

The $15 rims that Chuck has are 650C (571mm):

650C are used by triatheletes and outside of the Terry 650Cx28 (28-571),
most tires available are between 18-23mm wide.

In contrast, 650B rims are 584mm. 650B wheels are popular in France
(there's a society of about 1000 650B useers) and are being pushed by Grant
Petersen and Rivendell here. One reason Grant likes 650B is you take 70/80s
style "racing" bikes with clearance for only 700x23 or 25 tires, and no
fenders, and use wider 30-45mm wide tires with fenders. This make these
"racing" bikes more useable for "all-around" riding. Some have said riding
650B wheels with fat tires pumped up to 50psi is like riding on
marshmellows. Grant is coming out with several models (Saluki and his mixte
frames) using this size wheel and hopes to get other major mfrs to start

Those appear to be 650C not 650B. A differnet animal with a different
bead seat diameter (571 mm vs 584, the3 latter being 650B).
