Ever wonder about those people who spend $2.00 apiece on those little
bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backwards...

  2. Wow is right! They are just beautiful!

Fantastic work! But then again, this culture used to finely carve ivory and
make exquisite porcelain which wasn't labelled "Made in China" 🙂

Absolutely gorgeous, Steve. I believe the Thais create these, too.

    Holey moley! Them's some cabbage -- er-r-r melon -- roses! How'd you
    find THAT site, Steve?

Believe it or not, some poor bored to death soul posted it on a
Corvette forum that I belong to. We kind of "jones" when our cars are
    "sleeping" for the winter. :-(

Lovely art, but did absolutely nothing for my self confidence. Next time
I make a relish tray, I'll feel so useless with my radish roses.

Boy, I know the feeling Edrena. I'd love to see them do something like
    that in RT.

The SO would say that carving is the ONLY use for the zucchini in the
    first photo.

I would think that the Corvette gang would be kvetching about their
"winter rats" while their real cars were reposing in climate-controlled
    comfort.

The stuff is gorgeous. And it is VERY time consuming to do. I've tried it.
Mine usually end up in fruit bowls (read as 'the screw ups'😉.
I do wonder how many fruits were ruined before they got it right?

    Practice. Fortunately, radishes are cheap.

Any Chinese shop will have a book and the tools for doing this. I have a
book (one of the Wei Chuan books), but not the tools LOL!

Hell, I'm lucky if I can tie my shoes let alone get something to look

Nope. The SO thinks that the only place for a zuke is the compost heap.

There is also a 200 peice set. I have one and am (sometimes) sucessful on
some of the easier carvings. I will admit to making mush our of a watermelon
trying to make the more complicated ones.

I just showed these to DS (who is 7); his reaction was to say they
    are "scary good"...
