he may have been born in connecticut in 1946 but the family moved to odessa,
texas in 1948 and he grew up there and in midland & houston. that counts

national guard until '73 .. goes off to harvard for 2 years and moves back
to texas in 1975 where he's been ever since. so he spent maybe 10 years
total outside of texas of about 58.

sorry texas, it ain't that easy. he is *SOOOOO* texan.

ut-austin or yale/harvard? maybe the only smart decision of his life (tho
it was probably made for him)

Spent most of his life there, from all accounts. Hell, he was so
scared of the Vietnamese invading his state that he signed up to
protect her very skies. Or the bars in the near vicinity of the air
base. Something like that.

Who knows? Maybe he actually saved one of his squadron mates from
enemy fire while he was there? It's hard to know, with the lack of
records and all. But I'm quite sure it happened just like he said.
After all, he'd never shade the truth in order to tell a good story,
now would he?

Back to LA - I had understood that he didn't like the TT bike - wasn't
this a TT stage, or did I read the wrong segment? If I did - mea

require immediate attention.

Another coat-tail rider like Hannity - appeals to folks' base
instincts and claims those instincts are somehow virtuous. Rush
Limbaugh has been doing that for years, and made a huge pile of cash.
Nothing wrong with that, but Savage ain't original in the least. Just

No, I do not follow Dr. Savage 100%. I only agree with about 75% of what
he says. I haven't listened to Rush in 10 years and I can only stand

I do listen to Laura Ingraham for full length in the AM.

It has been reported that UT-Austin turned down Shrub's application, but
Harvard accepted his (with an eye to keeping the favor of a rich and
politically influential family, no doubt).

Normally, I try to ignore such spelling mistakes in the hope
that my own typos and mis-spellings and bad editing will be
tactfully ignored, too, but in the days before word
processors I had to re-type an entire master's thesis to fix
over a hundred "embarassing" mistakes, and this left me
abnormally sensitive about the number of r's in the word.
